Comparing Comics & Anime Movies

Comics & Anime movies have become quite popular as of late, and many Hollywood blockbusters are emerging that are based on such material. And who can blame producers and directors for wanting to cash in on the fan base that both comic books and anime already has to offer? Some however, do this better than others.

X-Men, Batman and the Spider-Man series are all huge movies that are amongst the most popular comic book titles to hit the big screen; and for good reason. All of these characters and storylines have been around for years, and in some cases decades – and they all focus on the battle of good versus evil, with the good guys ultimately prevailing. Anime movies typically follow by this same unspoken rule, however the sides aren’t always so clear-cut; and this is why some prefer one or another when it comes to Comics & Anime movies.

Others simply prefer the quality of animation that goes into creating an anime movie; and of course the animation allows for some action scenes that otherwise wouldn’t be possible with a movie that uses live actors. Some of the newer anime releases include Naruto, Inuyasha and Pokemon; and most of these titles have plot elements that appeal to both younger children and older audiences. While classic titles like Ghost in the Shell, Vampire Hunter D and Akira are aimed more towards an older and more mature fan base. Ultimately however, it doesn’t matter who the target audience is – both Comics & Anime movies are enjoyed by people of all ages all around the world.

While there will always be mixed emotions when it comes to Comics & Anime movies, they both share one big similarity – and that is the fact that both are here to stay. While some of the classic storylines have plenty of material to draw upon, there are also some great new characters being created and plotlines being written, too. And with the rapidly advancing technology we have seen so far in the 21st century, it is only a matter of time before Comics & Anime movies are taken to the next step; and whatever that step may be is anybody’s guess.
